Canada is not equipped to welcome a large influx of refugees from the war in Ukraine, said Rémy Trudel, former Minister of Municipal Affairs and Immigration.

“What is pressing is to form a crisis unit to welcome and support this flow of people without status,” says the former politician.
According to him, the current structures are not made to help so many people.
He believes that this crisis cell must be formed by the cities themselves.
Rémy Trudel also believes that Canada should quickly set up an air corridor between the Baltic countries and North America to allow refugees to leave Europe.
