England was hot. The XV of the Rose finally won over Wales, Saturday February 26, at Twickenham (23-19). In front of the break thanks to the precision of Marcus Smith on foot, Eddie Jones’ players increased their lead on a try from Alex Dombrandt (43rd) to lead 17-0.

But that was without counting on the Welsh awakening. On alternating current in this tournament, the Leek XV fought back and scored three tries, by Josh Adams, Nick Tompkins and Kieran Hardy. Not enough to win in London: despite their defensive bonus point, Wales bury any hope of final victory.
