For this third day of the Six Nations Tournament, England won on Saturday against the Welsh too rough but catchy.
It’s not two halves, but two matches that we witnessed on Saturday February 26 at Twickenham between England and Wales. Suffering but more realistic, the XV of the Rose finally won 23-19 against its Welsh neighbor on the third day of the Six Nations Tournament.
Five penalty attempts for Smith, four of which were successful: that’s all we got in the first half. No try, many turnovers and shovel losses of balls marked this particularly boring first act.
Fortunately, the two teams came back from the locker room with much better intentions, but also some more defensive largesse, thus unbridling the meeting and putting on a better show. Four tries were scored by Dombrandt (43rd) for England, and by Adams (53rd), Tompkins (61st) and Hardy (80th) for Wales. And it was on a scratch from Itoje that the XV de la Rose won for its first at home in this Tournament.
The English can therefore still hope for a final victory if they win their next two matches. The XV du Leek, defending champion, is doing well with the defensive bonus point, but is now out of the race for the coronation.
England will therefore host Ireland on March 12 and then go to the Stade de France for the Crunch against the Blues seven days later.
