One of Mr. Deschamps’ daughters, Annie, added that her father “is doing very well” but that he asked to “permanently close this official account, even if it is the only one” and that his requests had to be respected. .

Mr. Deschamps has slowed considerably in recent years. In the summer of 2007, he returned to the stage and took part in the Just for Laughs galas as part of the 25and anniversary of the event.
