For a few days, the mother’s entourage had been swimming in mystery. Many breathed a sigh of relief.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., investigators located a vehicle in Hagar, Ontario. They notified the Ontario Provincial Police who made sure to protect the child. The mother was arrested at 10:45 p.m. along with a man.

The woman had been missing since Sunday with her child. The woman, whose ex-husband was murdered three weeks ago, had managed to leave Quebec.

A pan-Canadian wanted notice was launched yesterday by the Sûreté du Québec to find Jacqueline Beaudoin-McClintock, 32, and her 18-month-old son. It was the DPJ of the Capitale-Nationale, fearing for the safety of the child, who initially exceeded the Youth Protection Act and asked the police force to mediate the case.

“It’s a lot of things that jostle, it’s difficult. We don’t understand anything, ”quickly confided a family member of Ms. Beaudoin-McClintock, who said she had seen the woman since the murder of her ex-spouse, but had observed nothing suspicious.

Jacqueline Beaudoin-McClintock and her son were wanted across the country. The mother had left her Stoneham home on Sunday. The woman is the ex-spouse of Nicolas Audet, murdered in Saint-Isidore in February and whose body was found in this house.

Jacqueline Beaudoin-McClintock and her son were wanted across the country. The mother had left her Stoneham home on Sunday. The woman is the ex-spouse of Nicolas Audet, murdered in Saint-Isidore in February and whose body was found in this house.

Nicolas Audet, the father of the child, was found dead on February 14 in his residence in Saint-Isidore in Beauce. His ex-spouse is now considered an important witness in this unsolved case.

Incomprehension

“It’s like a second sledgehammer in the face,” said a relative during the disappearance that followed the murder.

A family member of Nicolas Audet also confided that he did not understand the circumstances of the disappearance. The family, however, declined to say more.

“All our energies are to find the little one and Jacqueline. We don’t know anything more about it. […]on the reason for their disappearance or whatever, “said this relative.

According to the information obtained, Jacqueline Beaudoin-McClintock left the Stoneham residence, where she has been living for a short time, on Sunday.

At that time she would have contacted a friend to ask her to take care of her son “due to an emergency”, which the latter would have refused to do.

“We therefore do not know if she went to bring the child to another person or if she left with him”, explains a source familiar with the matter.

The case did not come to public attention until Wednesday evening, three days later. The decision is said to be explained by the fact that the mother still has custody of the child and that the case was not considered a kidnapping.
