Ours, real name Charles Souchon, chose his stage name because of the solitary creative process, which to him is like a bear living in its den and then coming out to share its songs on stage.
His new album “Mitsouko” is a nod to the group Rita Mitsouko, but also a way of seeing life, an unbridled and colorful life made of fantasy like the music of Fred Chichin and Catherine Ringer.
On the record, he shares a duet with another “son of…”, Mathieu Chédid. They have been accomplices for many years, M was even his guitar teacher, and 20 years later it was time for them to meet on the track “Petit jeu”.
On stage, Ours is accompanied by 3 musicians, with softer or more intimate moments, others more festive with spoken interludes.
