Quebec lists 24 new deaths linked to COVID-19

Health authorities reported Thursday 1,364 hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 in Quebec, a drop of 17 from the previous day. Of these, 76 patients are in intensive care, six fewer.

Quebec also reports 24 additional deaths from the disease and officially lists 1,257 new cases of COVID-19.

Since the start of the pandemic, 925,566 infections have been reported, and 14,040 of them have been fatal.

A total of 100,220 rapid tests, including 78,129 positive, have been self-reported so far on the platform put online by the government. For the day on Wednesday, 416 cases were declared, including 286 positive.

The Ministry of Health indicates that 16,094 analyzes were carried out on Wednesday and the positivity rate is 9.2%.

Regarding vaccination, 7221 doses have been administered in Quebec in the last 24 hours.

Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 86% received at least two doses and 51% received a third dose.
