The Toronto Raptors posted their second victory in as many nights against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday at Scotiabank Arena, but this time, unlike the day before, they worked hard to win 109-108.

Just 24 hours earlier in New York, Nick Nurse’s men had outscored their opponents 133-97. North of the Canada-US border, the Raptors had to erase an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter, to escape with the victory in the last moments of the match.
Gary Trent Jr. led the charge with 24 points. Author of an inspired performance of 28 points in the first duel, Scottie Barnes scored 18 points in the second, as did Pascal Siakam.
For their part, Quebecers Khem Birch and Chris Boucher added 11 and eight points respectively.
The Nets were still without several of their best players, including Kyrie Irving (unvaccinated), Kevin Durant (knee injury) and Ben Simmons (back injury). In their absence, James Johnson took over, with 19 points.
The Raptors will have the opportunity to extend their winning streak to three on Wednesday as the Detroit Pistons visit Toronto.
