“I had two winters where I was lost”, confides the eight-time gold medalist in alpine skiing Marie Bochet

At 28, more than half of whom spent in the French Paralympic Alpine Skiing Team, Marie Bochet hesitated for a long time before aiming for the Paralympic Games again. “I asked myself: do I stop at the top or do I put myself in danger? I had two winters full of questions, where I was lost”said the French skier, Tuesday March 1 in “All sport”.

With eight gold medals (four in Sochi and as many in Pyeongchang), Marie Bochet is the most successful sportswoman in the history of the French Paralympic team. She finally found the motivation for Beijing after intense work of mental preparation and several moments spent at home in Savoie to recharge her batteries. “It is a constant work to find the motivation, the passion”abounds Benjamin Ruer, coach of the France team.
