In an interview with TVA Nouvelles, the journalist at the Ukraine Crisis Media Center, Tetyana Ogarkova, testified to the significant mobilization of the local population.

“I see men who put on their uniforms, who take out their weapons and who are ready, each in turn, to defend their small square meter of Ukrainian territory,” she said.

The latter maintains that a great anger animates many Ukrainians because of the Russian invasion.

“We could never have imagined that we Europeans could live such a hell, that we could shudder every time a door closes, that we could be afraid of any outside noise”, claims Tetyana Ogarkova .

According to her, the Ukrainian people are far from discouraged. The importance of this fight goes beyond the borders of her country, says the journalist.

“Now is the time to tell ourselves that we must persevere, that we must beat this hell, because otherwise it will not stop in Ukraine,” insists Ms. Ogarkova.

“He threatens everyone with nuclear weapons, so everyone is concerned. There will be no winner. So now is the time to say no and to act intelligently, forcefully, decisively and without compromise,” she adds.

The journalist points out that at the very time when negotiations were taking place between Ukrainian and Russian delegations, the city of Kharkiv was bombarded by the Russian army.

“I still remain very skeptical about negotiations and any possible diplomacy with Russia”
