Dynasty Media Awards | Honoring Black Excellence

The first edition of the Prix Médias Dynastie rewarded Sunday evening the excellence of artisans from black communities working in the media. The evening, led by multidisciplinary artist Naadei, had as its theme “Black Future”.

Chad Damord, at the helm of the weekly show Chad Damord FMon CIBL 101.5, won the award for radio host of the year.

Noémi Mercier won the prize in the TV host of the year category, in which Maya Johnson, Vanessa Destiné, Pierre-Yves Lord and Meeker Guerrier were also nominated.

Comedian Richardson Zéphir is the designer and director ofFree studentswinner in the category of best series or web show of the year.

Naadei hosted the evening which rewarded ten personalities, including Taï, web personality of the year, who was not there. The TV or radio journalist award was given to Radio-Canada Washington correspondent Azeb Wolde-Giorghis, and the opinion writer award to Walter Innocent Jr.
