Maribon by Ortess, is an invitation to travel to Mauritius, moreover the name comes from a Mauritian expression which means “very good”. The project was born from the friendship of Orane and Tessa during their studies at Inseec and their passion for food. From the start, the two partners wanted to have a dark kitchen because it has many advantages, such as not having a physical place to receive customers. The cuisine must be of professional quality, hence the desire to be paired with a restaurant. Maribon’s cuisine is of Mauritian origin, lands colonized by France and England. It is this mixture of cultures that makes it possible to create colourful, spicy and joyful dishes.
