Thus, BMO Financial Group and RBC announced on Sunday that they had contributed $200,000 each to the Red Cross Relief Fund, “to support immediate humanitarian efforts in Ukraine,” the two banks said in a statement.
RBC also donated $50,000 “to provide mental health support to members of the Ukrainian community in Canada.”
People who wish to contribute can do so on the Red Cross website www.redcross.ca, by calling 1-800-418-1111 or by making a donation at a branch of BMO in Canada or RBC.
“The Government of Canada will match 100% of donations made by individual Canadians to the Appeal, up to a maximum of $10 million,” it said.
