Like every year since 1986, the Enfoirés troupe brought together the greatest personalities of the year for an exceptional concert for the benefit of the Restos du Coeur. Broadcast on March 4, this one will have a small particularity: like last year, it was shot without an audience due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A decision that the organizers had to make at the last minute.
And a very expensive choice, because the tickets sold generally bring in nearly four million euros, which goes entirely to the association and to people in need. “These four million euros were already provided for in our budgets. We will surely miss them. And when we know that we help 1.2 million beneficiaries, it’s worrying“, confided Patrice Drouet, the president of the association.
However, the organizers had a nice surprise from the public: while most spectators had already bought their tickets, few of them asked for a refund, allowing the organizers to keep a good part of the money they need. Patrick Fiori, pillar of the troupe since 1999, was rather touched by this proof of generosity.
“I understand that many have not asked for a refund. Out of solidarity, out of generosity. It’s great, right?“, he confided to the magazine Gala. A healthy decision, which will allow the association to keep part of its budget intact to feed those who need it most. The concert, already filmed, will be broadcast on Friday March 4 on TF1.
