The policeman suspected of having killed his partner at the end of January and who surrendered on Tuesday, is presented, Thursday, February 24, to a judge with a view to his indictment, learned franceinfo from a judicial source. This 29-year-old peacekeeper, assigned to Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis), was in police custody as part of an open investigation for “intentional homicide of a spouse, cohabitant or partner”.

Arnaud B. had been wanted since January 28, the day of the discovery in his apartment in the 19th arrondissement of Paris of the body of his companion, Amanda Glain, 28, who died of strangulation, as revealed by the autopsy. The body of the young woman had been found in the bathroom of the suspect, by Parisian police officers. His colleagues had given the alert when they did not see him on duty.

After a three-week run, Arnaud B. had called the gendarmerie on Tuesday to report his presence at his father’s house in Montmeyan (Var). He was arrested at this home without resistance and “without incident”, in the words of Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin. Then, on Tuesday, the suspect was transferred to Paris, where he was heard by investigators from the 2nd district of the Paris judicial police, responsible for the investigation.
