“The events of this night are a turning point”continued the Head of State and ” this act of war will have “profound, lasting consequences on our lives”. “We will be able to answer them together.” he assured, calling for unity around the principles of “freedom, sovereignty and democracy.”
In the morning Emmanuel Macron had urged Moscow to put “immediately put an end to its military operations” in Ukraine, and claimed “a NATO summit as soon as possible, in consultation with our partners and allies”. France will further strengthen its support for Ukrainein all its forms, also announced the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian.
