This Wednesday, February 23, 2022, TF1 viewers will find Meredith Gray for the 17th season of one of the most prolific medical series in history, Grey’s Anatomy. Played by Ellen Pompeo, the heroine, who arrived as an intern at the hospital, is now one of the main surgeons, mother of three children and widow of the popular Derek Sheperd, played by Patrick Dempsey.
But for the actress who has played this role for so many years, it’s hard to see herself getting old! Indeed, if she was recruited at 33 years old, she is now 52 years old and has changed somewhat since all these years. The actress had also confided in Dan Shepard’s podcast in 2020. “33 to 50 on screen isn’t that much fun“, she had explained. “You really see the difference because I’m in the same clothes, playing the same character. So the way I see myself aging, it really sucks“.
A complex that has prompted its fans to wonder if the interpreter of the best friend of Cristina Yang had not used Botox to hide some wrinkles. In 18 years, the face in principle shows some expression lines, but the actress has changed little. Rather discreet on this subject, she had however expressed herself a few years ago, and then said she was completely against injections.
“Personally, I don’t do Botox, she said in 2016. It doesn’t have to be something outside, but something inside“. Six years later, as the series progresses, has she finally given in to the sirens of cosmetic surgery? Hard to say!
