Tensions have risen a notch this week between Russia, Ukraine and Western countries. Russia on Monday recognized the independence of two separatist regions of Ukraine, before ordering Russian troops to assume “peacekeeping functions on the territory” of these two “People’s Republics”.
The next day, US President Joe Biden said that we are witnessing the “beginning of a Russian invasion of Ukraine”.
