The king of long distance races is back… in Chamonix. Absent since 2018, Kilian Jornet has announced that he will be well, on August 26, at the start of the Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc. “At the UTMB, there is always a high level, a great confrontation with the athletes on a course that I know well, I lived for several years in Chamonix”explains the Spanish athlete in an interview with the organizers of the event. “It’s a pleasure to come back to this mythical race”.
Kilian Jornet has already shone three times on the mythical loop by winning the UTMB in 2008, 2009 and 2011. With his three winshe is one of the most successful men’s riders with Xavier Thévenard (3 times) and François D’Haene (4 times).
