The policeman suspected of having killed his partner at the end of January in Paris and sought since was arrested on Tuesday February 22, announced Gérald Darmanin on Twitter. The Minister of the Interior specifies that the suspect was “arrested without incident” and that he is now “at the disposal of justice”.

The 29-year-old peacekeeper, now in police custody, had been wanted since January 28, the day the body of his 28-year-old companion was found in his apartment and died of strangulation, according to the autopsy. The body had been discovered in the bathroom by Parisian police officers who came to the suspect’s home, assigned to Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis).
