Just over a week before its theatrical release, a final trailer for the highly anticipated Batman was unveiled this Saturday, during NBA All-Star Weekend.
Sports commentator Brian Anderson was about to kick off a commercial break when the amphitheater’s outdoor screens crackled, hijacked by Batman’s main rival, the Sphinx.
The words ” unmask the truth… (“Discover the truth…”) then appeared on the screens, before the Bat-Signal, a symbol invoking the superhero, lit up the sky. Batman then appeared on the roof of the amphitheater, followed by a minute of trailer.
In this umpteenth variation, Bruce Wayne, played by Robert Pattinson, investigates the corruption that is rampant in Gotham and wonders how his own family could be involved. The Dark Knight must also face the Sphinx, a serial killer who sows enigmas in his path.
The scenes presented were action-packed. In addition to Batman, we can see his butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), the Sphinx (Paul Dano) and the lifelong rival, the Penguin (Colin Farrell).
