During the Beijing Olympics, France won fourteen medals, including five gold, to rank as the tenth most rewarded nation, far behind Norway (37 medals). The tricolor delegation showed a certain “biathlon-dependence”, since the biathletes are at the origin of half of the French podiums. Quentin Fillon Maillet from the Jura made history with his two Olympic titles on the Zhangjiakou track for a total of five medals.
