The house built in 1984 is located on the west coast of the South Island, New Zealand. It’s a 10-minute drive from Hokitika, a funky little town famous for its Wild Food Festival, where you can sample all sorts of unusual foods (think insect larvae, sheep testicles, and even a moonshine totally legal…).

When the urge to take a nature bath seizes you, well… it is quite possible in the bathtub installed in the open air – unless you prefer the shower. You can even sleep in the middle of the giant ferns, in the luxury tent planted in the middle of the forest and provided for the guests. It even has its own outdoor kitchen. Tranquility guaranteed!
