pace but no winner under the storm Eunice

Wind, rain, a storm of opportunities, but a draw that does not help anyone. While storm Eunice was still raging in Hauts-de-France, and in an enclosure open to the four winds, spectators at the Bollaert-Delelis stadium witnessed waves of offensives led by the Lensois and the Lyonnais, who finally left each other back to back (1-1). In a rhythmic game, Jonathan Clauss opened the scoring before Tino Kadewere equalized. The Lyonnais are provisionally fifth in the standings.

Neck and neck to clinch a European place, Lensois and Lyonnais fought a balanced battle, in which each team had its chance to tip the match in its favor. It was the Sang et Or who struck first, thanks to a goal from Jonathan Clauss, who took advantage of a telescoping between Thiago Mendes and Anthony Lopes to open the scoring shortly before the quarter-hour mark.

The Lyonnais then moved forward and equalized at the best moment, just before half-time, through Tino Kadewere. The Zimbabwean, tenured in the absence of suspended Moussa Dembélé, scored his first goal of the season.

In a more messy second period, the defenders of each team were called upon, like Lensois Kevin Danso and Lyonnais Castello Lukeba, both authors of a very solid performance. Despite some shivers in the last minutes, neither team managed to make the difference to win and stand out in the standings. The Lyonnais provisionally take fifth place before the meetings in Rennes and Monaco, while the Lensois remain eighth.
