Saturday February 19, 2022, viewers once again had an appointment with The Voice. For the second issue of the eleventh season, the four coaches, Amel Bent, Florent Pagny, Vianney and Marc Lavoine judged new blind auditions. THOMAS: THE SOUND OF SILENCE – SIMON & GARFUNKEL
Thomas caused a sensation by being the first candidate to take the stage. “He messed up my hair“, has also declared Florent Pagny. “Sublime voice and then you use it beautifully“, he also admitted to him after turning around. He is not the only one to have been conquered since his three other comrades also hoped to welcome the young man of 25 years in their teams. Ambre, 20, is a 3rd year music school student. Victim of grossophobia, she has always been afraid to go on stage but today she wants to take revenge on what she has experienced and prove that she is no longer afraid of judgement. After a long hesitation, Florent Pagny decided to press his buzzer, very impressed by his voice. He is also convinced that he can make her work and that the adventure will bring him interesting things for the future.

Vike: I LOVE YOU – BILLIE EILISH
At 26, Vike is a phenomenon from Versailles, passionate about music who wants to make it his life to convey emotions. It was simply accompanied by his guitar that he delivered his performance, all smooth and full of poetry. Quickly, he touched the heart of the four coaches unanimously. Compliments poured in after his moving performance.

LORIS: LONELY – JUSTIN BIEBER
Loris, 17, comes from Switzerland where he is a horticulturist and landscaper. He has also been a rapper for three years and started singing only a few months ago. A passion that was born after the divorce of his parents. During this period, he experienced a great feeling of loneliness and it was in music that he found refuge. Loris decided to take a risk with her audition by adding two original verses in French that bear witness to her life. A bet that will not have met with the expected success with the coaches since they have not returned. However, Loris caught the eye of Nolwenn Leroy who buzzed to pick him up in his team.

Marina: HURT – CHRISTINA AGUILERA
Marina had come last year and had caused great tension within the jury. While no one had turned around for her, Florent Pagny ended up regretting this unfortunate outcome for the 18-year-old girl, even getting angry with her comrades. His early elimination had even caused controversy on social networks and Internet users had expressed their great incomprehension. His return was synonymous with revenge. This time, Florent Pagny was there for Marina, as was Marc Lavoine.

OPHELIA: THE BALLAD OF JIM – ALAIN SOUCHON
Ophélie is a simply stunning candidate. The young woman managed the feat of turning the four coaches over in just a few seconds. Marc Lavoine was particularly moved: “I’ve been waiting for something like this since I came here three years ago. You are the person I was waiting for. You sing where it touches me the most“, he addressed to him. Amel Bent considered that his performance is one of the most iconic and would even become a reference in The Voice. Ophélie chose Marc Lavoine who even duets with her on the song.

CLEMENT: BREAK ON THROUGH – THE DOORS
Clément was diagnosed at age 11 with Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism. When he can’t find the words to express himself, music comes to his aid. An art thanks to which he can “let go of everything”. Before going on stage, Clément (22 years old) is necessarily very scared but it is nevertheless with great confidence that he pushed his first notes. And his condition did not at all prevent him from delivering a performance full of energy, which completely thrilled Marc Lavoine.

OLI: DANCING ON MY OWN – CALUM SCOTT
Ollie, 30, comes from London and is part of a band for which he is a singer and guitarist. They toured a lot in Europe and in England but today, he wants to start on his own. It is all the same with his group that he presented himself on stage, under musical and emotional support. Amel Bent is the only one to have turned around for him.

MADELINE: LAVENDER – APPLE
Madeline, 20, is a social science student at university. She never took singing lessons and learned piano and guitar by herself thanks to the internet. She has long been unable to imagine music as a profession, and then today she thinks it is possible. The Voice is the right way for her to evolve. It was the first time she sang on stage, and on TV to boot. Her charming and sweet interpretation seduced Marc Lavoine.

MASEKO: I PUT A SPELL ON YOU – SCREAMIN’ JAY HAWKINS
Maseko is 26 years old and is an event host, singer and guitarist. His deep and impressive voice with soul inspirations has been praised by all the coaches. Apart from Amel Bent, they all tried to welcome him into their teams. But it was Vianney’s words that resonated the most with Maseko (real name Eric).
