Death of filmmaker Arnaldo Jabor

Born in Rio de Janeiro on December 12, 1940, Arnaldo Jabor was part of the “Cinema Novo” (new cinema) movement, the new wave of Brazilian cinema, which began in the 1960s.

He notably directed the emblematic actress Sonia Braga in I love youpresented at the Cannes Film Festival in the Un certain regard category, in 1981.
