Ambassador Bridge protesters dislodged by law enforcement

Goods now circulate freely there. In Canada, the reopening of the Ambassador Bridge is a symbol. It took two days for the police to dislodge the demonstrators who had blocked it since last Tuesday. A message of firmness followed by a gesture of appeasement: the province of Ontario announced on Monday February 14 the upcoming end of the health passport. “We are going to abandon the pass. There is a level of frustration where you come out of your home to protest peacefully, but when you start occupying borders and international trade corridors, the party is over”said Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario.

Ontario is the epicenter of the protest, the capital of which is still paralyzed by opponents of the health pass. “The federal government is using emergency law to respond to blockades and occupations. I want to be very clear, these measures will be limited in time and geographically”declared Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister, who thus shows his intention not to give in to pressure from the streets and to put an end to the demonstrations which have lasted for more than two weeks.
