Mr Legault,
The vast majority of Quebecers have followed you in the management of the pandemic. We isolated ourselves, we disinfected our hands, we wore the mask, we vaccinated ourselves, once, twice, three times, we deserted gymnasiums, cinemas, restaurants, theaters, we postponed our trips, we have canceled family celebrations, New Year’s Days, we have neglected our loved ones and our elders, and some of them have even died in solitude, cut off from their children. We see it now, your light at the end of the tunnel. The statistics testify to this, but we must remain vigilant and not declare victory too quickly. Certainly, we must deconfine, because we greatly need it, but above all we deserve it. So, let’s deconfine, but let’s keep the vaccine passport in place. Too bad if we create a two-speed freedom. After all, we have experienced a two-speed social solidarity. Not only have the antivax ignored health instructions, clogged up hospitals, unduly increased the pressure on medical personnel and organized stupid demonstrations, but they are now pushing their indecency to the point of paralyzing our border trade and our capitals. Sure, their demands are probably sincere, but sincerity is not a free pass for idiocy. If you want to help their cause, pay them for virology courses or even free sessions with the psychiatrist, but stop accommodating them. Whatever you do at this point, you’ve lost their vote. So my advice: consolidate your electoral support with the majority that supported you, by showing the same courage shown by your French counterpart, and fuck the antivax. It would finally do us justice.
