The roll of the dice: Reacher

We could qualify Reacher popcorn series, the TV equivalent of a blockbuster summer that requires no mental effort. After four episodes, we are still not convinced that this is a good way to spend our evenings, but, one thing is certain, we are still curious to know the background of the main character’s story, a 6’2″ mirrored wardrobe with a troubled past, embodied by actor Alan Ritchson. Another certainty: the general public loves this television adaptation of Lee Child’s novels (which Tom Cruise had brought to the cinema in 2012), since a second season is already in the works.

The safe bet: It’s worth it

We always find our account by looking at this magazine devoted to consumption. And yet, you don’t always have to change electric toothbrushes, bathroom fittings or vacuum cleaners. The rigor of the topos presented in the show certainly explains its longevity. But for us, it’s Marie-Soleil Michon’s entertainment that convinces us, week after week, to go back. The tone adopted is perfect: it’s friendly and warm without being rude. With her collaborators, she never played the card of the famous “accomplicated laughter”. On the program this week: maple treasures, frozen pizzas and C’est beau, an eco-responsible Quebec clothing brand.
