The Salon de l’Agriculture will be held from February 26 to March 6, 2022 at Porte de Versailles in Paris. A meeting attended by students from the agricultural school of Yvetot in Seine-Maritime. For months, they have been preparing one of the Normandy cows that will be present at the Show.
Pomme, a three-year-old cow from Normandy, is far from nervous. This is partly why it was chosen to be present at the Salon de l’Agriculture which will take place in Paris on February 26th. “She was the best in terms of her udder, in terms of her legs…She is very calm so you have to motivate her but it’s pure happiness to train her”says Chloe Sequin student in 1st year of BTS at the agricultural school of Yvetot (Seine Maritime).
Chloé, Marie and Lubin are among the six students who have been pampering Pomme since last September. They spend an hour a day with her, hugging her and taking her for walks, pregnant in hand, to get her used to the future atmosphere of the Salon. “We put on a crowd noise to imitate the noise she will hear in Paris so that she remains calm in all circumstances”explains Lubin. For these three students, going to the show is also a source of pride in representing their region.
