Valentine’s Day will be on Monday, February 14. This lovers’ day is generally celebrated by one out of two couples in France.

This year again, a third of French people plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Monday, February 14. This even represents one in two young people. It’s a beautiful evening in perspective and good news for restaurateurs. Nearly one in two couples plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a restaurant, while a quarter of them will rather prefer a candlelit dinner at home.

A third of French people systematically buy a gift for their other half with an average budget of 114 euros. The big winners are florists, because more than one in five French people choose to say i love you with flowers. Others opt for perfumes, chocolates or jewelry. But another kind of gift has become more and more trendy in recent years: adult toys. A study commissioned by a manufacturer assures that two out of three French people would have already offered one to their better half.
