“We can confirm that the Prime Minister has received a questionnaire from the London police. He will respond to them as he should,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
Thursday evening, the investigators announced that they were going to contact “more than 50 people” to obtain their testimonies on this scandal which threatens the political survival of Mr. Johnson.
A few hours earlier, the press had published a new photo showing Boris Johnson at one of these rallies, with two other people.
A dozen receptions are targeted by the police investigation, which would have been spread over eight dates in 2020 and 2021.
Former British Prime Minister John Major launched a virulent charge Thursday against Boris Johnson, whom he accuses of having acted illegally.
