Almost four years ago, Thierry Beccaro revealed his complicated childhood, hard marked by the mistreatment of an alcoholic father. In 2019, the former host of “Motus” confided on the airwaves of Europe 1: “All the work I have done has allowed me to transform this pain. I am the most discreet guy in the French audiovisual industry. I have never told anything (…) So you do not tell yourself that your story will help others, because we think that we are all alone to have lived it“.
Guest of the famous “Portrait of the week” of the magazine “Seven to eight” this Sunday, October 31, the current ambassador for Unicef returned to this childhood which left him aftereffects on a daily basis: “In personal life, if you only knew, fearaccompanied me, still accompanies me… The fear of going to a party, the fear of flying, the fear of doing this, the fear of doing that, the fear of committing… Every now and then I tell myself : ‘Aren’t you tired of being afraid?’ “.
Not without emotion, the former host of France Televisions also confided to Audrey Crespo-Mara. “It smashes your body, it smashes your head. It shatters your life (…) The adult that I am tells myself … My God, it’s sad. How unfortunate to see that. This is the kind of disproportion that can exist between the body of a child and the strength of a man.“, moved the sixty-year-old.
