He’s making a comeback! After several years of absence, Stromae returns to the music scene and in the most beautiful of ways. He had already announced the arrival of a new album several months ago, but it was really on the set of Anne-Claire Coudray’s TF1 news that the Belgian artist proved that he was beautiful and well back by unveiling, live, his new title “Hell”. A title in his image retracing his last very difficult years when he sank into depression. Much happier today, but still suffering from these ailments, Stromae looks forward to returning to the stage although the stress still overwhelms him.
A stress that also invades him for the release of his new album on March 4th. An exit which will mark a release for him but which also worries him a lot as he confided to Télérama. “A little stress is looming at the moment, but we’re not quite on the eve of the album release yet.” he confessed at first before making a funny revelation: “in general, I begin to think that he is a bit useless, before pulling myself together. Even if it doesn’t work, I like this disc, because it is as I wanted it. I can look at myself in a mirror and be happy, that’s the main thing.”
In the rest of his interview, Stromae evoked one of his greatest fears a few months from going back on stage and finding his audience. “I haven’t been on stage for a long time. We work with robotics, 3D animation like Pixar or DreamWorks. It’s an ambitious show”, he explains at first before revealing his greatest phobia when approaching his performances: “My concern remains the memory lapse for the lyrics. Everyone has their phobias…”
