The three-quarter international wing of Toulon Gabin Villière, “hamstring injury”, is replaced by Montpellier Vincent Rattez in the group of 42 players summoned to prepare for the autumn test matches, the French Rugby Federation announced on Tuesday, October 19.

The day before, the coach of the XV of France Fabien Galthié had announced his list of players called in Blue, however being cautious about the presence of Villière (25 years old, 6 selections) pending “exams this afternoon (Monday, Editor’s note) or tomorrow morning due to a thigh alert”.
Package for the start of the tour, the RCT winger, already author of three tries in six selections, is therefore replaced by Vincent Rattez (29 years old, 8 selections). The MHR winger has not played for the France team since November 2020 and a defeat in Scotland (22-15).
The 42 players summoned must arrive in Marcoussis on Sunday to prepare for the fall tour. The Blues face Argentina on November 6, Georgia on the 14th and the All Blacks on the 20th (matches to follow on France Télévisions).
