The inhabitants of rue de la Novie, in Valentigney, heard the boom this Friday, February 4. Around 6 p.m., a policewoman opened fire in the direction of a car whose driver refused a police check. He was finally arrested and will have to explain himself to a judge this Sunday, February 6.
Refusal to comply
Night has just fallen this Friday evening and police officers are carrying out routine checks on rue de la Novie, in Valentigney. But one of the drivers they want to control refuses and accelerates before being blocked by traffic a few meters further.
On the run, the agents are about to get back to his height when they notice that the recalcitrant driver is backing up in their direction! In trying to stop him,one of the officers “seriously injured his hand”, we explain at the Montbéliard police station.
The driver’s maneuver also puts other road users at risk. A policewoman then decides toopen fire in the direction of the vehicle. But that does not calm the attitude of the driver who manages to escape. He will finally be arrested in the evening, with his passenger, “not far from home”. Placed in police custody, they must be presented to a judge this Sunday, February 6 in the afternoon.
