The organizers had given their troops an appointment at 5 p.m.

Again, a heavy police presence is on Parliament Hill.

A stone’s throw away, the Carnaval de Québec welcomed its first festival-goers without a hitch.

The sound of horns continues to be heard in the surroundings.
