Several posts on social media claim that intensive care units are now empty.

According to the latest figures published by Santé Publique France, around 3,700 Covid patients are in intensive care and intensive care, despite a slight decline in recent days. In Marseille, at the Nord hospital, only 4 of the 20 box of the intensive care unit are nevertheless occupied – the lowest total since the start of the fifth wave.

Marc Léone, head of this service, explains that he is “climbed up to 20, 25 Covid patients“. For him, operating with a full service is routine. With the Covid, the change has rather been in the need to add beds. Although this is not currently the case, most of his patients are still Covid patients today.
