End of the vaccination pass in July? Olivier Veran gives his conditions

It has now been more than two years since the Coronavirus settled in our daily lives, not to mention its variants. After two confinements, a curfew as well as numerous health measures taken so that we can return to an almost normal life, the health pass has put up some barriers. Since last month, this has been replaced by the vaccination pass. While some countries say goodbye to this process such as the United Kingdom, what about France?

Since this Wednesday, February 2, 2022, wearing a mask outside is no longer compulsory, as announced by Jean Castex. But that’s not the only relief that has taken place so far. Indeed, the gauges put in place in establishments welcoming the public have been removed but the mask is still compulsory indoors. For the next changes, we will have to wait until February 16. Standing consumption in bars will again be authorized and nightclubs will make a comeback.

After eight consecutive days of declining COVID-19 contamination figures, Olivier Véran made revelations with positive notes at BFM-TV. “Overall, across the country, we have passed the peak. The natural evolution is rather that we get out of this wave, in the same way we are reaching the peak of hospitalization. the worst is behind us, we did the hardest part”he confided.

Regarding the date of the end of the vaccination pass, the Minister of Health was formal: “Today, we know the end. It’s in the law, it’s July but if we can remove the vaccination pass before, we will do it (…) Given the current epidemic dynamics, it is likely that this end is obviously before the end of July”.

For those who can’t wait to put their masks in the trash, know that wearing these indoors may soon be over. “We will relive that moment, if the epidemic follows its course with a drop in omicron, it will be in the spring”, promised Olivier Véran. So much good news!
