Chateau Les Brandeaux at a place called Puyguilhem in Thénac obtained in 2018 the High Environmental Value. He is also the winner of the Concours Bergerac Duras 2021 which gave him the title of winemaker of the year. This family farm since the 1920s is currently managed by 2 brothers, Jean-Marc and Thierry Piazzetta (the first for production, the second for marketing).
Committed to respecting biodiversity, the operation is certified High Environmental Value since 2018. Chateau Les Brandeaux produces its wines on 15.5 ha of red Bergerac, 8 ha of white Bergerac, 6 ha of red Duras and 1.3 ha of white Périgord wine (100% Chardonnay).
For the vinification, it is a traditional elaboration in stainless steel and concrete vats. On the production side, 60,000 bottles + 400 hl in Bag in box.
The medieval inn in the village of Audrix near Bugue has been run since 2005 by the couple Carine and David Beynet the chef. You can have lunch (in summer) outside under a trellis. Excellent and refined cuisine from starter to dessert.
As a starter: the Chardonnay 2020 from the Origines range in IGP Périgord blanc with smoked trout.
As a main course: Malbec 2019 from the Origines range in red Bergerac with lamb
For dessert: a bottle of traditional method. Creme brulee with walnuts
