Quebec has 591 new cases and 2 deaths

COVID-19 cases have increased in the past 24 hours in Quebec, with 591 new infections, compared to 511 the day before Friday.

The province has also recorded two more deaths in the past 24 hours. Hospitalizations decreased slightly (244, -6), while 67 people were in intensive care (-1).

Since the start of the pandemic, 425,393 Quebecers have been infected and 11,493 people have lost their fight against the disease.

Elsewhere in the country

For its part, Ontario is approaching 600,000 cases, with 356 new infections identified in its report on Saturday. The day before, Canada’s most populous province had 419.

The balance sheet also shows four additional deaths. To date, Ontario has 599,615 cases and 9,869 deaths to its credit. Hospitalizations increased slightly (213, +2) while there was a decrease in intensive care (86, -3).
