The elected Maurice-Richard will thus set foot for the first time in the National Assembly since her ejection from the Liberal caucus by its leader, Dominique Anglade, at the end of October.

According to the information then reported, Marie Montpetit was the target of anonymous psychological harassment allegations, and of a complaint.

However, no official complaint has been filed against him, as evidenced by the document issued under the Access to Information Act and obtained by the QMI Agency.

What’s more, Marie Montpetit says she has not been met at any time in connection with allegations of harassment or intimidation and no investigation is underway or has taken place.

“Regarding these allegations, they refused to meet me, to explain the nature of the facts to me and to allow me to be heard. I was also refused a neutral and independent investigation for which I offered my full cooperation,” she said in a press release on Tuesday.

Despite her “profound disagreement” with the way the situation was handled, Marie Montpetit adds that she chose not to hear any steps to rejoin the Liberal caucus.

“It is therefore with dignity and serenity that I return to the National Assembly and that I will continue to do my job to represent the citizens who elected me,” she concluded.
