A chain of solidarity was created after the discovery on Sunday January 30 of a young dog hit by a vehicle in Sin-le-Noble, near Douai in the North. It was the firefighters of SDIS 59 who recounted the misadventure of the animal, found in a ditch at the edge of rue de l’Abbaye. The dog, aged about four months, was discovered by a witness who immediately alerted the emergency services.
A veterinary firefighter went there to assess the injuries of the young dog. The association Réflexion adoption was then contacted before the animal was sent to a veterinary clinic where it was taken care of. X-rays of the pelvis and the hindquarters had to be made for a complete diagnosis. The little dog, who is not identified, has already been named Victoire. An online kitty has been opened to pay for care. This Tuesday morning, €225 had been collected.
