I refused to wear prostheses
“We see little fat on television or in the cinema, regrets the mother of little Andy. For me, there are only two ways to approach this theme. Either a wrapped up actor plays a lambda role, and the fact that he is fat is irrelevant. Either the scenario speaks of the suffering that these people may experience. Maud is that vector, and I’m what I call ‘the big surety’. If I think a situation is demeaning, mocking or unreal, I don’t play it. In the same way that I refused to wear prostheses to appear more imposing. So I had the freedom to set limits, through my experience, and I was lucky to have been listened to.“
