For this 2022 list, two new criteria have been added and that did not help Annecy, according to Thierry Saussey, president of the association. “Distances as the crow flies have been replaced by travel times, it’s much more realistic”, he believes. This year, the property attractiveness parameter was also introduced. “In the top 3, only Angers keeps a price per m² below 4,000 euros, having experienced the strongest evolution.” In Annecy, the average price per square meter reaches 4,742 euros.
Six towns in the Pays de Savoie in the top 50 villages where people live best
The ranking not only lists the cities, but also the villages of France. Among the top 50, six are from Pays de Savoie. To the north of Chambéry, the town of Sonnaz ranks tenth. Marcellaz-Albanian (Haute-Savoie) is 14th, Voglans (Savoy) 19th, Quintal (Haute-Savoie) 27th and Menthon-Saint-Bernard (Haute-Savoie) 29th. Finally, the municipality of Saint-Jeoire-Prieure in Savoie finished 41st, having gained 30 places compared to last year.
