Our neighbors across the Atlantic have been facing a “historic” snowstorm for a few hours. The states of New York and New Jersey being forced to go into a state of emergency to deal with this extreme cold wave this Saturday, January 29. Nothing magic in all this, quite the contrary, in particular because of a “powerful and icy wind that paralyzes transport”, in the words of the mayor of Boston, a city also affected by the storm.
No less than 10 centimeters of snow cover some American cities. Add to that gusts of 80 to 120 km/h, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), forecast for the next few days and you get a more than alarming situation for part of the country. NWS warning of “almost impossible travel conditions” in the northeastern part of the United States. Many influencers and personalities shared the impressive images of the storm on social networks, including Laeticia Hallyday. Indeed, Johnny’s widow is currently in Manhattan after going to the Brooklyn Museum to discover the exhibition “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams”.
On her Instagram account, the mother of Jade and Joy revealed videos of her hotel room from the top of a building, in which we could see the impressive images of the storm hitting the United States. This one risking despite everything to venture into the streets of the city, strangely reminiscent of the film The day after in which natural disasters, including a snowstorm, hit the country.
