the pass vaccination has been compulsory since Monday January 24 in France. This is still not the case in Guadeloupe where the prefect has chosen to postpone the entry into force of the famous sesame.

Although it is not yet compulsory in Guadeloupe, the pass vaccination is on everyone’s mind. It is the prefect of the island who must now decide on its entry into force. It is a measure that can intervene at any time and that many Guadeloupeans reject. Professionals are also worried. the pass sanitary has already reduced the activity of a games room by 70%.

In Guadeloupe, only 17% of the population has received three doses of vaccine against Covid-19. For a restaurant owner on the island, it is his clientele that risks deserting. “I think it’s going to affect us even more, especially in this time of curfew. The curfew and the pass vaccine, it’s a terrible drop in activity”, he confides. Overseas, the pass vaccine already came into effect at the beginning of the week.
