They call for solidarity in Charente. Caregivers at Angoulême hospital want to transfer patients affected by Covid elsewhere in the department. The Girac establishment launched an appeal this Friday, January 28 to the various hospital structures. Most patients are not so-called “serious” cases, the hospital currently has three patients in intensive care. But it counted this Friday nearly 40 people within its walls suffering from the virus. A figure that has doubled in barely a week. It’s starting to get tricky, hence that hand stretched out for a little relief.
Thus, the establishment could continue to function normally, to have enough space to accommodate people coming from the emergency room. Currently, patients are on average 60 years old. They propose to send them elsewhere, to structures that would have SSR beds, that is to say for follow-up care and rehabilitation.
