New escape from a psychiatric hospital in Toulouse. A patient escaped from the Gérard-Marchant psychiatric hospital reports this Saturday, January 29, France Bleu Occitanie. The man has been wanted by the police since Friday afternoon, January 28. This is the fourth runaway of a patient from a psychiatric unit in ten days in Toulouse.
“Since this report, the police have been actively mobilized to quickly find this person”, specifies the ARS Occitanie in a press release.
The Regional Health Agency also announces that it has put in place additional security measures in the Gérard Marchant Hospital Center and the Toulouse University Hospital as of Friday morning. “to avoid any new patient running away”. She mentions in particular the “Securing entrances and exits”, the “reinforcement of patient monitoring” or even the “reinforcement of guards and on-call duty” and promise “a review of risk assessments”.
