According to the latest figures from tourism professionals, reservations for ski resorts are on the rise for the upcoming February holidays. Despite the Covid-19, the season therefore promises to be very good. This is particularly the case in La Clusaz, in Haute-Savoie.
At the ski resort of La Clusaz (Haute-Savoie), as in other French resorts, the next few weeks will be almost full. There is almost no more accommodation available. School holidays start on February 4 and the following four weeks are the busiest of the year in ski resorts. For the professionals, it was the recovery they expected and especially hoped for after two seasons marred by the Covid-19 health crisis.
The skiers are mainly French, but since the border restrictions are relaxed, foreigners represent 30% of reservations. “We have a new European clientele who have chosen this year to seek out destinations on a human scale”observes Jean-Philippe Monfort, director of the La Clusaz tourist office.
